Blustery Halloween

This card feels like a blustery Halloween with the pumpkin lanterns swinging in the wind.

Yesterday at our monthly local stamping group meeting, we had a challenge to make a Halloween card in about a half an hour with whatever materials we had with us at the time.  This is what I came up with.

Stamps Used:
Stampin' Up! - Happy Congratulations - lanterns; Gorgeous Grunge - spots and speckles in background; Fall Fest - ghost and leaves; Wetlands and Simply Sketched - bushes at base of card
Penny Black - Bare Tree
Art Impressions - Background - distressed diagonal lines

The ghost is first stamped in Memento Pear Tart ink on a separate sheet of white cardstock and colored over with Copic markerYG23.  The eyes and mouth are Y17. Then I cut it out and glued it down on a piece of 4.75 x 6.75 piece of white cardstock.

The lanterns were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with a variety of orange and green markers.  The pumpkin faces are hand drawn.  The bushes and bare tree and leaves are stamped with Walnut Stain Distress ink and colored with green, yellow, orange and brown Copics.

The background and edges are sponged with Ranger Distress Inks - Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.  The distressed grungy background was stamped with Ripe Persimmon, Barn Red and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.

It was matted on a piece of 5" x 7" black cardstock then onto an A7 white card base.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you have a great week.
