Birthday Butterfly Symphony

The new Penny Black Butterfly Symphony acrylic stamp set was used to create this birthday card for a friend.

This butterfly was stamped with VersaMark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, "fussy" cut out and the body and antennae were glued in place.  The wings were popped up by using some small glue dots rolled up under the wings close to the body.  Before cutting out the butterfly, the color was applied by lightly misting the butterfly with water then sparingly using reinker and an aqua painter brush.
I did the same thing with the corner butterfly wing, but used clear embossing powder instead of white and a little less reinker.
Stamps used: Penny Black, River City Rubber works - background music
Stampin' Up inks and reinker - Sage Shadow, Baja Breeze and Midnight Muse with matching cardstock for the mat.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Easter!
