The red-orange lanterns stand out as the focal point with the blue-violets and golden-yellows used for the background. Violets, oranges and pale yellow-oranges are a wonderful fall color combination.
Versafine Onyx Black Ink was used to stamp all of the images. The embossing folder, Art Deco by Cuttlebug - one of a set of four folders, was embossed twice for the card. First they were both sponged with a variety of Stampin' Up and Tim Holtz Distress blue, violet and pale-yellow inks. Then Stampin" Up markers were used to color the grooves in the folders, which helped to give them a bit of a metallic look.. One folder was popped-up and used to frame the main image after the center was cut out. For the second one - a center strip from top to bottom was cut out and popped-up as a background for the Delicate Vine Memory Box Die on the side. The two pieces that were left from the folder were overlapped, glued together and popped-up as a background for the sentiment.
Stamps used:
Stampin' Up: Inspired by Nature - grass; Perfectly Penned - Happy Birthday sentiment
Lavinia Stamps - Japanese Lantern
