Faith In Nature Clean and Simple Card

This card is made with an image from the Stampin' Up Hostess set - Faith in Nature.  It is such an elegant set of stamps and perfect for creating a clean and simple watercolor card.

The sentiment is from another Stampin' Up set - Summer Solstice.    Both the image and the sentiment are stamped in a combination of Stampin' Up Soft Suede ink and Old Olive inks.  The pear was watercolored with a combination of watercolor pencils and Distress Inks on watercolor paper.  The floursh was cut out twice with the Tim Holtz Alterations Die - Elegant Flourishes.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.
Have a great weekend.

A Late, but Sassy St. Patrick's Day

This Sassy St. Patrick's day card was finished before St. Pat's Day, but today is the first opportunity I've had to photograph and post on line in some time.  She was a Fabulous Friday Freebie specially drawn for Sassy Studio Design's Paper Craft Planet group a few weeks ago.   She sure is a cutie and I had fun designing this card with her.

Stamps used:
Sassy Studio Designs -  St. Patrick's Day - colored with Copic Markers
Hero Arts - Background Shamrocks stamped in Versamark Ink
Inkadinkado - Wrought Iron Shamrock
Dollar Bin at JoAnn's - Script Shamrock
Martha Stewart Punch

Thanks for stopping by.

Less Is More - Challenge Week 58 One Layer Script

I just discovered the Less Is More challenge blog the other day and it looked like so much fun that I decided to make a card and play along this week for the first tme.  Lots of beautiful cards posted there.

Most of my cards are quite detailed, so this is a great challenge for me to do - I love the look of clean & simple cards, but I have a hard time keeping things simple.  I hope this card fits the the guidelines of CAS.  I had fun making it.

Stamps used are:
Hero Arts script, Serendipity sentiment and the rest are from an Inkadinkado flower set.

They are stamped with Memento and Versafine inks.  The pink background is sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Spun Sugar, the edges with Memento Pear Tart and Delicata Gold  The flowers are colored with Copics.  I used a gold gel pen to highlight the sentiment for a final touch.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a super week.
